Will you have that Storm to be Calmed ?

Purpose : That God may calm that storm in your life. Speak LORD to our hearts and may we come and trust in thee and not put our confidence in man. May you LORD have all the glory and praise.

Before you can be helped through this you must make a decision. There are only two paths and only one will bring you to the results of the calming of the storm in your life. The Truth. The Truth never changes with time. It is the same in blessing or in the storm. The Truth is not a respecter of persons. So far, all I hear is an opinion of a man. Therefore we must look for this wisdom from the authority higher than just a man’s.

John 18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

John 18:38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

1Co 1:17 ¶ For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
1Co 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
1Co 1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
1Co 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1Co 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1Co 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
1Co 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1Co 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
1Co 1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1Co 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1Co 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
1Co 1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
1Co 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

A painting to the artist tells a story. One stroke at a time with colors and the expression and the feeling. It will not make any sense until later as the idea becomes alive. God’s Word is alive to those who have the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is our teacher who will guide his children in all truth.

1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

We must come to the truth and be honest before him!

Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Ge 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
Ge 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

Nothing new under the sun. But I am a victim

1Jo 1:8 ¶ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. What a promise from God! Not just a promise of man.
1Jo 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Lu 15:13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
Lu 15:14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
Lu 15:15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
Lu 15:16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
Lu 15:17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
Lu 15:18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
Lu 15:19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
Lu 15:20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
Lu 15:21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
Lu 15:22 But the father said to h

is servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
Lu 15:23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
Lu 15:24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

When Jesus was telling this story, the people consisted of those who believe in the truth sent from God and those just looking for an excuse not to believe the wonderful works and words of God.

They have a storm in their lives. This is not God’s will for any of mankind. His will is peace and joy, not fear and guilt.

Job 21:18 They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.

Ps 55:1A Psalm of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
Ps 55:2 Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
Ps 55:3 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
Ps 55:4 My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
Ps 55:5 Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
Ps 55:6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
Ps 55:7 Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
Ps 55:8 I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.

Ps 107:29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
Ps 107:30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
Ps 107:31 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Ps 107:32 Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
Ps 107:33 ¶ He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
Ps 107:34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
Ps 107:35 He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
Ps 107:36 And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
Ps 107:37 And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
Ps 107:38 He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
Ps 107:39 Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
Ps 107:40 He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
Ps 107:41 Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
Ps 107:42 The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
Ps 107:43 Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

I pray that God’s Word is showing you the painting of his story of his Great love to each individual person. If you want that storm in your life to be calmed you must make a decision.

Man or God.

James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. This is God’s will for all mankind.

The Devil deceives people doubt the Truth of Christ and to believe the lie.

Ge 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Ge 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Death is the penalty for Sin against God and man. This is not just a physical death, it is much more.

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

These are the words of Christ Jesus before he was crucified.

Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

The Word of God promises me that my sin against God and Man can be forgiven before God in a just manner through the redemption by Christ Jesus.

Webster Dictionary 1828

Redemption: In theology, the purchase of God’s favor by the death and sufferings of Christ; the ransom or deliverance of sinners from the bondage of sin and the penalties of God’s violated law by the atonement of Christ.

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Eph 2:4 ¶ But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Will you allow the Lord Jesus Christ to calm the storm of sin in your soul and become a Child of God?

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Luke 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Christ words

Webster Dictionary 1828

Repent: In theology, to sorrow or be pained for sin, as a violation of God’s holy law, a dishonor to his character and government, and the foulest ingratitude to a Being of infinite benevolence.

Ro 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Ro 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

1Co 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
1Co 1:3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
1Co 1:4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;
1Co 1:5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
1Co 1:6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
1Co 1:7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1Co 1:8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Co 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
1Co 1:10 ¶ Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

There is more truth to set you free and to be at peace in the storm that this life will throw at you.

For the Word of God is alive and knows all. I cannot believe any person would trust in man’s wisdom over God’s Truth.

Only one reason they would chose to go the way of man.

Let the scripture answer for itself.

John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

You still hold to the world, what is important to man , not to what is important to God. Very dangerous decision turn while there is still time. God’s will is still not willing that any perish under the Judgment of God but that all would repent and come to Christ for forgiveness.

2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2 Thessalonians 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Lu 15:21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
Lu 15:22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
Lu 15:23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
Lu 15:24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

David’s Cry God’s Answer

David’s Cry! God’s Answer

Ps 40:1 ¶ To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

Read chapters 34-40 of Psalms first to see what was in David’s heart.

He chose to wait upon God and with patience. He did not hide his sin and he confess it to God and call it his sin and cried out to God.

Our LORD and Savior  heard his cry and took notice of it and did something about it. Will he hear a heart of a repented sinner? Amen! Will God incline unto me? Will God set in order and adjust what needs to be done? David waited upon God patiently for God to work. He did not have a better idea about how to handle his circumstance from the sowing and reaping process that God established.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

We need to take heed to what God’s word says!

Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Amen God will have mercy on all who will call upon him! Yes there are the after effects of sin but God is able to bring the sinner out.
Ps 40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
Ps 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

The help is there by Christ who is in you, my feet upon The Rock, established my direction, following Christ, new song in my mouth, even praise to my God, no more guilt. This will be seen of all men and it will have an effect. The fear of God to others will be seen of others and many will trust the LORD JESUS as their Savior.

Proverbs 24:3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:

Numbers 23:12 And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?

Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Psalm 73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
Ps 40:4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Psalm 115:11 Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.

Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
Ps 40:5 Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

Psalm 139:17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

Hosea 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
Ps 40:6 ¶ Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
Ps 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
Ps 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
Ps 40:9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.

Ps 40:10 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
Ps 40:11Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
Ps 40:12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.
Ps 40:13 Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.
Ps 40:14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.
Ps 40:15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.
Ps 40:16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
Ps 40:17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

Listen to the Scriptures and let God work his work in your heart,

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

1Jo 5:10 ¶ He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
1Jo 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
1Jo 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Joh 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
Joh 8:25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
Joh 8:26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
Joh 8:27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
Joh 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
Joh 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
Joh 8:30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.
Joh 8:31 ¶ Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

In His Class Room

The Son of God wants us to come up the mountain and be taught in his class room, not the class room of this world! Let us follow him up the mountain and examine his teachings and let His Word teach us the righteous path that can only come from the only True God. His teachings have never change they are today the same as when he taught his disciples on that mountain. You cannot say this about the teachings of men, they blow with the wind of change and are as movable as the strange woman in the book of Proverbs.

Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Blessing comes from the Son of God, not of anything of this world, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes or the pride of life.

Those who are poor in spirit, not poor in possessions. Bankrupt in the spirit of man. We are totally depended upon God not of the spirit of man or the wisdom man. God is everything not just a duty to go to church on Sunday. God is everything because:

Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Col 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

For theirs is the kingdom of heaven, not of the things which are seen but of the things not seen which are eternal and not temporal.

Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

1 Thessalonians 3:7 Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:

They that mourn, grieve and sorrow over a loss that reaches to the soul of the person. When we lose a love one or very special friend. Could our special person in our life be the LORD JESUS CHRIST, oh how do we feel when someone shows no respect for someone that is so important to us as our family or a very special person in our lives. Oh how they treated the one who died for me and they mock his name even to this day. They crucified my precious Lord and Saviour because he was the Light of this world and men love darkness rather than the Light. My sin should make me sorrowful, but my Saviour had the power to lay down his life for my sin and take his life up again to show victory over death, for all who believe in him unto every lasting life. Yes we are greatly comforted knowing we will see him when we are change into his likeness; Praise God for our God Reigns.

Mt 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Matthew 11:29 Jesus said; Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Contrite: to wear down

Mt 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

1 Timothy 6:11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Proverbs 15:9 The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.

Mt 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

2 Samuel 22:26 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful, and with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright.

Isaiah 57:1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

Nehemiah 9:31 Nevertheless for thy great mercies’ sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.

Psalms 117:2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

Mt 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

1 Timothy 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

Micah 6:11 Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?

Mt 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Mt 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mt 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Mt 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Persecution is not the thing that Christians today want to think about, don’t we have enough troubles without adding that to it. But we should not listen to error of man’s reasoning for what does the scripture says:

Mark 8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.

We are not told being a little Christ was going to be a easy job and everything was going to be good for us. But is it worth it, with out any shadow of doubt or hesitation exceeding abundantly absolutely yes!

2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

There is only one class room on the subject of Life and it is not of this earth it was taught by the Son of God who came down from heaven to this earth and instructed all mankind by his Mighty Words and by His Mighty Works which were recorded in the Holy Bible.

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. Jesus Christ is life every lasting and in no other name is eternal life possible.

I pray to God that his words not my words will accomplish what it is sent to do.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
