Memorial Message 2015 Late

Please take an hour and be still. Place yourself in a boot camp, in the time frame of the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korea War, Vietnam War, Iraq War and all the war areas around this world this very hour. To a young man this time of his life is very exciting to serve his nation, to make his family and friends proud of him. We have seen many movies of young men leaving home and after months of training being put into a strange dangerous environment and experience war and the true ugliness of it. Many came back scared emotionally, physically with handicaps for the rest of their lives and many did not come back except in a box with an American flag drape over it. What about the Moms and Dads, brothers and sisters and close friends and the heart ache that many deal with even to this day.

What is the purpose of such pain and anguish? This is a great price to pay but what for? I believe we have the answer in the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America. “ We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

No where do we see to make it a democratic society, to police the world, but that all men are created equal by the God of the universe with certain unalienable rights, that among these is Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This is what makes us different from all other countries. But our own nation has strayed away from this great foundation and has sinned against the one and true God. We have become like all the other nations and forgot God who blessed this nation greatly.

Where Life is not valued there follows death, where Liberty is not counted precious the nation will be lead into bondage, debt, regulations and the results will squeeze out the life of liberty. Where God is not welcome where can happiness be found; which is found only in Christ. The happiness of self is not the happiness which comes only from God. Proverbs 3:13 ¶ Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. Happiness is a pursuit for the wisdom of God and the getting of understanding that only comes from the one and only true God, the God of Jacob!

The principal of “All men are created equal by the Creator” has caused much blood to be shed by those who believe that all men are not equal. All life is precious and has great value unto our Creator. Man by his own wisdom has come to the point that an unborn child is not a person and I have the right to abort it so it will not stop my future plans. Does that person really know how arrogant and blaspheme that is before God Almighty. What does God say about men. None is righteous, none seek God, none understand God, all have sinned, transgress the law of God. Yes all men are equal created with flesh and blood and a precious soul.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Then how can a man be at peace with the Almighty God? The war must be fought and conquer the enemy. The enemy is sin. Flesh and blood of men cannot conquer it. Our flesh is weak and is tainted with sin, therefore we can only say guilty before a Holy God. God is stronger than all the sin of the world. Praise God!

Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
Romans 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Hebrews 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

We have talk about the great cost of war, lives have been the sacrifice that others might have this precious liberty. Oh may we never forget and always keep in our conscience that liberty is kept at a great price!

I want to thank you for allowing me to share my memorial message and I hope it has been a blessing and a provoking to your soul. I want to close with Jesus”s words. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The word “whosoever” is everybody in the world, the “good news” is God gave his Son as the sacrifice for ours sins. We can reconciled be to God when we Repent of our sin and believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
